Thinking Like A Programmer: Workshop #1

Go to the first workshop for Thinking Like A Programmer using the following link:

Thinking Like A Programmer – Workshop 1

NOTE THAT THE ABOVE LINK IS FOR CI4100:PROGRAMMING 1 STUDENTS ONLY. If you are a CI4520: Object Oriented Programming student (if you are doing a Games-related degree) then you should use the links on your own Studyspace module!

Also note that you will not be able to access this link outside of the appointed time and place of your workshop. However, once you’ve unlocked the link by attending the workshop, you will be able to use it at home and elsewhere outside the university at any time you like.

Thinking Like A Programmer: Lecture #1

The lecture slides for the first session of Thinking Like A Programmer are below.

The video below is to the corresponding lecture from last year. Unfortunately, on Monday my recording app decided to throw a complete wobbly and as a result the lecture wasn’t recorded. There are a few changes in last year’s lecture; the order is different and we covered the Compact elsewhere so we don’t discuss that during the session. However, it is broadly the same content so should suffice for revision purposes.

Programming 1 Entry Survey

I would be very grateful if students could take the survey below so I can get a feel for everyone’s prior experience of Programming.

Programming 1 Entry Survey

There are only a few questions and it will only take a few minutes.
